The Second part is to make the “ClockworkMod Recovery” permanent
When you are done with all the above steps, go to Terminal and enter the below code and make sure you don’t lose the ClockworkMod Recovery access.
Enter the code in Terminal:
- mount system
- adb shell
- mv recovery-from-boot.p recovery-from-boot.bak
The final part is to Gain the Root Access
In this step you need to download the JB-SuperSU.zip file and after downloading the file make sure it is saved onto a SD card of your Nexus device.
- After doing that reboot your Android 4.1 device and enter the ClockworkMod Recovery option, by pressing down the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons all together until your device flashes a CWM logo on the screen.
- Now when it’s done, go to Main Menu look for “install zip from sdcard option”, then choose “zip from sdcard” and select the file “SuperSU.zip”.
- Finally after the installation is over go to Main Menu again and select the “reboot system now” option.
If the above steps are processed correctly and entered properly, your Nexus 7 Tablet is all rooted on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and now that it’s been rooted you can enjoy your favourite apps installed easily.
